We're Getting Married!

Bruce and Katelyn met while attending the University of Florida. Both majoring in engineering, they ended up with two classes and lab together that fall semester. After a semester of small talk in lab and before classes, Bruce asked Katelyn to get lunch during the last week of classes and then to an end of semester party the following night. They saw each other one more time before leaving for winter break, hoping the spark would be there when they returned. Coming back for spring semester, they picked right back up and were officially dating within weeks. They both knew this was something real when Katelyn took care of Bruce when he was sick on Superbowl weekend. The rest of that semester, they enjoyed their first Valentine’s Day over pizza, Katelyn learned just how much Bruce loved Gator Basketball (sometimes a little too much), Bruce learned that Katelyn loved the Gators as much as he did and they spent every possible moment together. The rest was history.

Bruce made plans and told Katelyn they would be going for a sunset tour of the Jupiter Lighthouse about a month and a half prior to that day. He told her he had won it in a raffle through work. She wrote it in her planner and didn't think much of it. Fast forward to two weeks before and Katelyn agrees to go to an work event at UF the same morning. Bruce panics but agrees to drive her to Gainesville (mostly to keep her on time). They changed into nice clothes for dinner on the turnpike and drove straight to the lighthouse. Now at the lighthouse, they are hurried up to the top since rain was coming. Katelyn, oblivious to all of it, is using Bruce's nice camera to take pictures all the way up and hands it over when Bruce suggests taking a picture together. Then, getting down on one knee, he pops the question! Will you marry me?
