What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for this event is "Cocktail Attire". Men should wear suits, but a tie is not required. Women should wear ... well, this is Broxton typing this. I really do not understand women's clothing, but google says an elegant dress or cocktail dress should do. We do ask that men refrain from wearing black, and women refrain from wearing white.

Should I take pictures or videos of the ceremony?

Answer

If you did not get paid thousands of dollars to take pictures or videos of the ceremony, your phone should not leave your purse or pocket until after you see two lesbians up front kissing.

Do you have a hotel blocked off?

Answer

We tried but unfortunately the local hotels are no longer allowing us to “block” hotels. We have listed a few hotels close to the venue that may have available rooms under the “Where to Stay” tab that you almost undoubtedly looked through before you arrived at this question. But for those that like to jump ahead, check there.

May I take a centerpiece/candle from the venue as a souvenir?

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

Right on Canandaigua Lake. The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be inside a brand new barn. If the barn is not finished, we will have to have the reception in the club house, and Michaela will NOT be thrilled. So, if you don’t see a completely finished barn in your immediate view when you park your car, you’re going to want to just head straight for the bar and order heavy. We have added the expected design pictures under the “Photo” tab so you know what to look out for.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

It doesn’t matter. Wear a suit or a dress.

Will there be open bar?

Answer

There will be open bar for beer and wine from 4-4:30 before the ceremony, and again, after the ceremony until 6:30. There will also be a few thousand dollars on a tab for y’all liquor drinkers and if that money lasts until after 6:30 then consider it open bar. At some point, we hope the tab runs out because that means y’all are doing your part and drinking. We don’t know when that will be. But there should be plenty of opportunity to get drunk for free, which is basically the main point of a wedding, right?

Our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Rochester or Syracuse. Both are about an hour away from the venue. If you’re flying in, it’s likely best to rent a car.

When is the RSVP deadline?

May 27, 2022 and that’s a STRICT date because we barely got “get married” money let alone “someone showed up unexpectedly and we need to get them some food” money.
