Hamilton Pool - Sightseeing
This is a gorgeous natural pool with waterfalls that was previously an underground river. It's breathtaking. Unfortunately you will need to make reservations before going but it shouldn't be too busy and is well worth it!
HOPE Outdoor Gallery - Sightseeing
This is an awesome graffiti park that is a must-see in Austin. Parking is really tricky, so it's best to take an Uber or Lyft there!
Mount Bonnell - Sightseeing
Mount Bonnell gives you a beautiful view of Austin overlooking the Colorado River. It's a bit of a hike but if you park toward the north side it's a much less steep incline.
Congress Avenue Bridge Bats - Sightseeing
Not for the faint of heart, but every night from September - November, 1.5 million bats emerge from the Congress Avenue Bridge at sunset. Go early to grab a spot and watch out for bat droppings! (totally serious)
Rainey Street - Food Trucks & Bars
Rainey Street is a residential area of Austin that was zoned for commercial use a few years ago. The result is a neighborhood of houses remodeled into the coolest, trendiest bars you can imagine. We'll be having our welcome drinks here the night before the ceremony, but it's a great place for happy hour and food truck stops.
South Congress Ave - Shopping & Sightseeing
The most famous street in all of Austin. Home to shopping, street performers, food trucks, and the famous "I love you so much" graffiti sign among other graffiti walls. It's also right where we used to live, so it has a special place in our hearts.
