Anyone who knows us knows how much we love a rainy day. During the height of pandemic lockdowns on a particularly rainy day, Nick suggested we go for a hike. Courtney thought, sure, why the hell not who cares if it's raining. Fast forward 20 minutes we couldn't even see through the windshield because of the torrential downpour. We made it to a pavilion and sat to watch the rain and wait for it to calm down. When the storm cleared, we walked out to a particularly beautiful spot to look across the lake and then BOOM, there was the ring, and the rest is history. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!

Shortly after matching on bumble and discussing our appreciation of “Mean Girls Day," we decided to meet for drinks at J Timothy’s in Plainville, Connecticut. After our first date, we knew this would be “something big,” which is ironic because Courtney’s parents had their wedding reception at this same place over 30 years ago. From day one we knew there was more to this than just a random bumble meet-up. And here we are, closing in on 7 years (and an almost 4-year engagement) later, ready to celebrate our love for one another.
