Our story begins in May 2021 at the most romantic of places: Das Bierhalle—our local watering hole, complete with beer, bratwurst, and just enough chaos to make things interesting. As the night was dying down, a mutual friend invited Casey over to Brian’s house for games and drinks. Brian and Casey didn’t really talk much that night—except for the brief moment when he went to check on her because he thought she might be stealing from him. (Spoiler alert: she wasn’t.) The real magic began the second time we saw each other. We bumped into each other again, and this time Brian worked up the courage to talk to Casey. From there, things just clicked. She couldn’t get enough of him and kept texting him to hang out again (and again). Soon we found ourselves on our first official date—sipping wine and eating pizza in Fells Point, having one of those effortless conversations that made it feel like something special was starting. At the time, Casey was still living in Pennsylvania, which meant lots of weekend drives to Baltimore. But not too long after, in June 2022, Casey (and her cat Kyro) made the big move back down to Baltimore and into Brian’s home. From that point on, we were inseparable. Our little family grew shortly after when Casey rescued a second cat, Loki, from inside a car engine. We settled into a cozy life filled with laughter, movie nights, and more cat hair than we ever thought possible. Then, on November 23, 2024, Brian proposed at home in the sweetest, most intimate way—just the two of us, surrounded by our kitties and so much love. From a chance meeting over beers to building a home with each other, everything about being together has just felt right. What started out so effortlessly has grown into something really special—and we feel incredibly lucky to have found this kind of love. We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
