We're getting married!

We first met through our mutual friend, Paige. Paige and Cassidy met through their sorority and quickly became best friends, and Garrett had met Paige in the second grade. Garrett was attending Texas Tech University at the time and Cassidy was attending Texas A&M University.

The start of our relationship. The day that marked the start of what’s become one of the most constant parts of our lives.

We spent the early years of our relationship in different cities miles away, balancing class schedules, extracurriculars, exams, and frequent weekend visits. While long distance presented many challenges, it shaped how we communicate and intentionally show up for one another. Garrett graduated from Texas Tech a year early and moved back to the DFW area to begin pursuing a Master's Degree at Dallas Baptist University. Since they were living a little closer to each other, they got to visit even more frequently while Cassidy finished up her senior year at Texas A&M.

After graduating from Texas A&M University in May 2024, Cassidy moved to Dallas to begin pursuing her Master's Degree. At this point, Garrett and Cassidy started spending time with each other nearly every single weekend! They continued to grow and develop their relationship.

The day we got engaged! Late in the afternoon, Garrett picked Cassidy up to take her to what she thought was going to be a nice dinner with his family to celebrate his birthday. In reality, Garrett had been planning this day for months! He proposed to Cassidy at Flippen Park, and it simply could not have been any more beautiful! Afterwards, we celebrated with close friends and family at his parents house in Mansfield. The most perfect day!
