The First Day Brian and I had our first date on November 22, 2014. He picked me up and brought me a bouquet of flowers. I remember thinking, "Wow! I don't remember getting flowers on a first date before this!" We went to the Museum of the Rockies, we ate dinner at the Korner Klub Bar while catching glimpses of the Cat/Griz game on the TV. After dinner, we went to Belgrade and purchased some ice cream from Pickle Barrel. I asked Brian if we should take it into JR's so we could finish watching the Cat/Griz game - probably the only time I've ever been in a bar eating ice cream, haha. We really didn't want the day to end, but Brian dropped me off at home and then headed back to his place in Columbus, Montana. I remember telling everyone how I met this great guy - "kind of a cowboy but not really" - haha! We continued our long distance relationship for about a year and a half until we found a house and moved to Billings together. The Yes Day Brian and I started going to the Sacajawea Hotel for their New Year's Eve dinner event since 2014, there were a couple years we skipped, but it's always been a tradition. It always has delicious food, the hotel is historic and the details throughout are amazing! During our annual NYE tradition, on December 31, 2018, he proposed with a one of kind Yogo engagement ring! We were looking for a ring that was non-traditional, and represented where we grew up. He found the perfect one! I said "Yes!" The Best Day Now we are planning our wedding, and are so happy to share our day with you! It was very important to us to have a wedding in order to share the love we have for one another, and include everyone we love! Every piece of our unity includes something about each of us; our growth together, our personality, and the love we have for one another. We are so excited for you to join us on September 5, 2021!
The First Day - November 22, 2014 First a little back story, it all started a month or so ago from November 22, 2014 when Colton Chretien indirectly introduced me to Jordan. Little did I know how far it would lead. After a while of talking back and forth we decided to have our first date. I drove from Columbus to Amsterdam to pick her up. Unfortunately, the Taylor Planetarium at the Museum of the Rockies was closed, so we went to the Korner Klub in Four Corners to get some food and watch some of the Cat/Griz game. From there, we went to Belgrade and stopped at Pickle Barrel to get some ice cream. We went to JR's Bar next door to finish watching the Cat/Griz game. First time I've eaten ice cream in a bar. After what I thought had been a lame first date, and blowing it, I dropped her off. The night ended with a kiss! I didn't blow it after all, and back to Columbus I went, head spinning like crazy. The Yes Day - December 31, 2018 After a couple years of back and forth, and a couple more living together, I figured it was time to make it official. To be honest, I don't know why she put up with me that long. It was New Year's Eve at the Sacajawea Hotel, we had made a tradition of having dinner there on NYE after we started dating. We were getting ready to head downstairs, I took the rings she had on the nightstand. When she asked where they were, I said, "I have a better one for you to wear." The Best Day - September 5, 2021 So family and friends, I invite you all to come join us. Come eat, drink, and be merry. Sincerely, Brian Ferguson
