Cancun International Airport

We recommend flying into Cancun International Airport. From there you will take a 20 minute ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres.

Ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres

You will be required to take the Ultramar ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres. The ferry ride is about 30 minutes long and departs from the terminal every 30 minutes from 5:00am to 11:30pm. You can either book ferry tickets online or at the ferry doc when you arrive. Ultramar Ferry Location: Terminal Maritima Ultramar Ave Lopez Portillo Puerto Juarez Cancun 77520, MX Price: ~$15 USD for a one way trip (adult) ~$12 USD for a one way trip (child) The ferry drops off on the North side of the island, which is where the ceremony will be taking place and where we recommend staying.

Happy Shuttle

Happy Shuttle is a great resource if you would like to pre-book shuttles from the airport. You can also purchase ferry tickets through them. You can also easily get a taxi when you arrive at the airport if you don't want to pre-book shuttles.

Transportation on the Island

There are not any shuttle companies on the island. Therefore, taxis, golf carts and walking are the best way to get around. The north side of the island is very walkable but plan to bring some pesos to pay for taxis as needed. See the link below for where to rent golf carts if you so wish!
