Best breakfast pastries -- the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is sometimes hidden behind the counter, so you should always ask. Melissa loves the Kouign amman pastry. We're assured the matcha is great, though we're coffee drinkers.
We lived just down the block in our first house in Nashville! Great cold brew and other coffee drinks. Their eggs, toast and jam are excellent if you're in need of a simple breakfast.
Our favorite spot in Nashville! The city's best park and greenway, an ideal spot to enjoy a cool fall morning with a cup of coffee. We recommend picking up drinks at Frothy Monkey and entering at the Lillian Street entrance to walk down through the trees to the pond. You can also drive to the Shelby Bottoms Nature Center if you'd like a long run or bike through the Shelby Bottoms greenway!
A Lockeland Springs hot spot, they have a great pizza oven around the side at Roberta's (the Bee Sting pizza is delicious.) You can grab a drink in the back patio while you wait. Pro tip: the back bar line can get very long at peak hours, so go inside the actual hotel to the wine bar, they usually serve batched cocktails in addition to wine. Kid friendly until 8 pm!
Excellent vibe-y record bar in the refurbished attic above Mama Bread. Can get dark, loud and lively on a weekend night! Melissa recommends the classic gimlet or martini.
A classic East Nashville dive bar, wonderful back patio when the weather is nice. A great bar burger and fries, as well as a good greasy brunch menu.

An excellent dinner spot with fresh ingredients (and also an incredible off-the-menu cheeseburger.) Also great for brunch! Located on a corner with heavyhitters, including Schulman's bar and the Vinyl Tap record store/bar across the street.
