About two weeks into my first semester of college, I went to my first frat party with Kayla. She took me to Delt, and the night went pretty much how I expected a frat party to be. Then a cute (very nervous) guy walked up to me. He told me I was beautiful and asked if he could have my Snapchat. As soon as he handed me his phone his frat started a chant. He walked away with his phone in my hand. While he was distracted, I did what any normal girl would do when handed a stranger’s phone… I started scrolling through his Tinder. As soon as he got back he looked and seen what I was doing he got upset and walked away. The rest of the night he kept on coming back to me just to talk. If you know Keegan you know he’s not a big talker. (I didn’t know this at the time) Then he asked me on a date. After that night I didn’t think much of it but we started talking more and more. About a week later we went on our first date. At the time I lived in Crockett (about an hour from Morehead) but he still asked if he could come pick me up. I felt bad so we met in the middle. We met at the Marathon in West Liberty. He opened the door for me to get into his truck and as I stepped up, I hit my head… I don’t think he noticed or I at least hope he didn’t. He drove us to Cattleman’s and we had the best time. Two weeks after that, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I am so glad I went with Kayla that night. That decision led me to meet my favorite person.

It was my junior year of college when I met Shelby. It was just another normal Thursday night at a party for my fraternity and I saw a girl sitting with her friend in the kitchen not really talking to anyone. I decided to try and be confident and go talk to her. I thought it went pretty well until I saw that my phone was missing, so I went up to her to see if she knew where it was. Only to find her scrolling through my tinder. After that awkward moment I still asked her again for her Snapchat and talked to her throughout the night. The next day I asked her if she wanted to go on a date with me sometime. She said yes thankfully. We went on our first date a few days later and after that we spent everyday we could together. I’m so glad to have met someone like Shelby and glad I had enough liquid courage that day lol because it helped me find my soulmate.
