They first met New Years Eve 2015 in passing while Jon was leaving out for the night, He complimented on the dress she was wearing that night. January 2016 Amanda and her mom headed out to Jax to play some pool and Jon happen to be there playing pool with a few friends at the table next to them. Amanda told her mom, that's the guy i was telling you about that said i had a pretty dress, He's HOT!! Mom said well then go over and say Hi? Amanda said no, what if hes not interested? I don't want embarrass myself mom! So her mom waited till it was her turn to shoot, and luckily Jon was close enough that Amanda's mom bumped butts with him on purpose and said "oh excuse me, oh and i just wanted to let you know my daughter thinks you have a cute butt. He looks over at Amanda and says Well Thank You. A few minutes passed and her Mom walked back over to Jon and slipped him a torn piece of napkin with a number and "Lynn" on it. He approached Amanda and asked "Is this your number or your moms? She replied that's mine, as she smiled. They have been together ever since.

July 4th 2019 Jon and Amanda had decided to take their girls to go watch fireworks at the Waterside in Norfolk. It started to rain, and they were for sure the firework show was going to be cancelled, Well before they decided to pack up and leave, Jon seen this as a perfect opportunity and kneeled down in front of Amanda and pull out the ring. She got out of her chair and said Omg!! YES!!! about 5-10 minutes later, The fireworks started going off, and they got to enjoy the fireworks as Jon had planned.
