Borrums Drug Store & Soda Fountain— Mississippi’s oldest operating soda fountain. This is a must and a Corinth staple! Be sure to arrive in town early to find out what the fuss is all about. Whether it’s Ben’s favorite cheeseburger in town or the classic slugburger with cheese, pickle, mustard and onion, (Sam’s favorite) you won’t leave hungry. We recently discovered their Philly is a hidden gem. Top it off with a malt or shake to get the full Corinthian experience! Open Monday-Saturday 10:30-2:30.
While in the area be sure to check out Shiloh National Military Park. This National Park is the site of the April 1862 Battle of Shiloh and is a beautiful place to visit with abundant wildlife and stunning views of the Tennessee River. It's the perfect location for a leisurely outdoor stroll and there is also a self-guided driving tour to see the sites and monuments for the history buffs. As you would expect, this is one of Ben's favorite places in the area. If you do make the trip be sure to stop in for a meal at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel for some of the best catfish around.
Corinth is home to so many cute boutiques! Kate’s & Co, Gingers, & Shirley Dawgs are some of our favorites, but there’s something for everyone in our little town.
With over 110 years of history in Corinth, the Coca-Cola Bottling Group has created an awesome collection of authentic Coca-Cola memorabilia, old-fashioned drink machines, and other items from the Soda Fountain Era. Located across from the Corinth Coke headquarters, entry is free. Fun fact: Coke hosts an annual 10k race through Corinth every May!
Another stop for the history buffs and one of Ben's favorite places to visit around town. The Interpretative Center is a National Park Service site opened in 2004 and features interactive exhibits and artifacts from both the Siege and Battle of Corinth.
Pickwick Landing State Park is located just south of Pickwick Dam. Noted for its excellent water recreation the lake and river offer fishing, boating, swimming, and a marina. Accommodations in the park include a lodge and restaurant, cabins, and camping. In addition to water sports, guests enjoy golfing, birding, picnicking, disc golf, nature walks, and tennis. The park contains 1,416 acres of forested hills and hollows. Be sure to check out the Outpost restaurant across the dam for a bite to eat if you are in the area.
Our favorite local coffee shop! Be sure to stop in SoCo Grind to fuel up on caffeine and be ready to celebrate!
Lucky for you Juju’s is open on the weekends! Arrive in town on Friday for dinner at a local hole in the wall seafood dive known for its Cajun-style menu featuring crawfish, gumbo, and etouffee.
In the mood for something other than the usual southern fried fare? Have lunch at one of our favorite Mediterranean restaurants local to Corinth! They open early! We enjoy the hummus and shawarma, but we really don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu!
Our local sports bar and grill and always a go to spot for a quick bite to eat. We love the fried shrimp buffalo-style, philly cheesesteak (get it on pita) or even the pizza from Mikes, but there is something for everyone here. Grab a bite, catch a game on their big screens, & leave with your belly full!
Looking for a place to enjoy a cocktail or beer with a roof top view of Downtown Corinth? Check out Conservatory, located on the 3rd floor above Ginger's. They also offer some small plate and lunch style food. It's a great place to enjoy a moment on the patio if the weather is nice!
If you are in the Shiloh area, do yourself a favor and stop in at Hagy's for a bite to eat. This well known local eatery has been serving up their famous catfish and dishes since the 1930's. Operated by the third Hagy generation, it is one of the oldest family owned restaurants in the country. On top of the food and history, its located right on the river waterfront.
If you head to Pickwick for some time at the lake, trails, or golf course, be sure to check out the Outpost restaurant just right across the dam. This unique restaurant and general store serves up all the classic southern fare. Fun fact: This restaurant was the location of our first official date!
Nothing special to see and certainly no reason to go out of your way but...just in case you happen to drive by and are wondering...Yep! That's where this love story officially started! I thought it at least deserved a nod on this list of Corinth mentionables.
