Josh & Ashley met in 2016 at Saint Mary's College of California during an accepted students mixer. After striking up a conversation, Josh asked Ashley for her Snapchat, and from that day forward, a friendship began. Over the years, their story unfolded through dates at Scandia, drive-in movies, and local breweries, though the timing never seemed quite right. It wasn’t until seven years later, when Ashley moved to Rhode Island to attend PA school, that everything changed. While home for winter break, Ashley finally told Josh how she felt about him. Shortly after, on New Year’s Eve in 2023, Josh asked Ashley to be his girlfriend — and she happily said yes. For the next year and a half, they loved each other from opposite sides of the country, traveling back and forth, knowing their relationship, friendship, and love were worth every mile. Together, they traveled a total of 167,011 miles through 14 airports across 12 states. Through delayed flights, flat tires on the side of the road, and dead car batteries, they always found their way back to one another. Shortly after Ashley completed her Master’s degree, she moved back home to California to be with Josh again. Then, on 04.03.2026, Josh asked Ashley to marry him. With an overwhelming and joyful “yes,” Ashley gladly accepted. Together, they promised to spend forever & ever making each day better than the last.
