Matron of Honor
Julie and Kara have been best friends since they were introduced as teenagers by a mutual friend at Westroads Mall. Neither of them still talks to that mutual friend, but both are grateful for her role in their friendship! Kara and Julie have shared a lot over the 15+ years of their friendship, during most of which Kara lived out of state! Kara was a bridesmaid in Julie’s wedding, and is so happy to be able to have her stand with her, now that she’s found her lifelong teammate. She loves being Aunt Kara to Julie’s three nuggets, Ian, Emilia and Riley.
Maid of Honor
Brittany Jo and Kara met while working together in the basement of the Shubert Theatre in NYC in the summer of 2015. They quickly recognized a lot of similar traits in each other, and came to find that they even share the same birthday! Lovers of laughter, sass, and a good bourbon cocktail, they have both been able to be each other’s rock during life’s ups and downs. Kara can’t wait for you to hear Brittany Jo’s West Virginian twang make its appearance after some juice at the reception!
Best Man
Chris and Ryan met in their starting years of Cubs Scouts back in the late 80's when they were only 6 and 7 years old. They spent the following decade+ creating a brotherhood-like bond that was built on many nights of camping, backpacking, merit badge classes, dutch oven cooking, and nerdy fictional card games that never seemed to end because agreeing on the rules always managed to elude them... Now years later, whether spending time at Ryan's garage working on shop projects, hanging out watching baseball and football together, or just generally razzing each other about the toll that aging has taken on them after 3 decades of friendship, Chris considers Ryan the brother he never had, and is honored to have him stand beside him on this memorable day.
Best Man
Chris and Jason's friendship began simply enough with a challenge to a bike race around the black top of Sonora Elementary School one day after class. Chance would also plant them both spending their adolescent years together exploring the mountains, forests, and deserts of Southern California, while tying knots, starting campfires, and earning merit badges. But the foundation of Chris and Jason's friendship has always been rooted in music. Whether jamming in the garage in their teenage years, blasting CD's in the car after Boy Scout meetings to share cool new albums or bands they'd discovered, or even playing music together to this very day, Chris is privileged to have his musical brother beside him for this extraordinary occasion.
