We met talking on match.com dating site. Mark was actually on the verge of ending his subscription to it and I had just started mine. He caught my attention being the only person genuinely interested in something other than how pretty I was or instantly asking for a date. He asked me where my town was because he was from out east in Johnstown. We then ended up talking about kids and discovered our four year olds were born on the same exact day and year. We talked for a week before finally wanting to meet. I took a risk and drove out to meet him in a public park in Canajoharie. Such a beautiful little park in the spring. We talked and walked for two hours and then went to get coffee and he showed me around the area. It was natural, we talked as if we had known each other for years. I felt so safe and comfortable with him. We met once a week for another few weeks and made sure we were ready to meet our kids together and they hit it off instantly. We ended up hitting a rough patch after a couple months but never lost touch over the summer, we reconnected in the fall and it was like second nature all over again. It was instant. We now have a home together and a dog and we are financially stable. That being a relief seeing as we both came from awful relationships before where finances were not secure. It has been a pleasure to be with someone who has the same goals and same dreams in life and does what it takes to make them happen. We are so ready to spend the rest of our lives reaching our dreams together.
