How We Met

Fall of 2010

We met in high school through mutual friends. It was during our marching band season so the band kids spent a lot of time together. I was hosting a Halloween party at my house and invited Kyle to come and we really hit things off right away. We talked for about a month, realizing we really liked one another. I remember feeling so incredibly happy when Kyle asked me out. I think we both had a feeling that we were meant to be and that one day, we would get married and spend the rest of our lives together!

The Proposal

8.18.18

If you didn't already know, we are both huge baseball fans and one of our favorite things to do together is to go to different baseball stadiums across the country. For my birthday, Kyle had told me that I was going to be throwing out the first pitch at a Toledo Mudhens game. I was so excited! He then told me that he could be the catcher by paying an extra fee. After convincing him that he should do it, he agreed and made it happen. We drove down to Toledo and when we arrived to the stadium, Kyle told me that I could pick out a jersey as part of my gift. When the time came to throw out the pitch, I remember feeling so nervous but relieved that Kyle was the one behind the plate. After I threw out the pitch, Kyle made his way to me where he got down on one knee and proposed! He had his Dad make a ring box out of a baseball which I absolutely adored. We were greeted by our parents and brothers, and at this time, Kyle told me that we weren't staying in the stadium for the game, but that we were going to a suite to watch the game with our brothers. When we arrived, we were greeted with a resounding congratulations! He had invited our closest friends, from near and far, to celebrate our engagement. It was a day we will never forget!
