Note From Eddie: I met Chris ten years ago when we were both serving in the same unit at Fort Benning, and somehow the friendship stuck despite his questionable sense of humor. Chris is outgoing, loud in the best way, and just offensive enough to keep everyone on their toes—but he’s also the guy who will randomly call just to make sure I’m doing okay, or aggressively remind me it’s time to get online and play video games. One of my favorite memories is watching his dog sprint full speed into the back of his legs at a barbecue, sending him straight to the ground in front of everyone, while he somehow managed to save every last drop of his beer — a true display of balance under pressure. I chose Chris as my Best Man because through the last decade and some of the toughest moments in my life, he’s been constant, loyal, and always ready to show up when it matters most — even if it’s just to give me a hard time.

Anneka Brown

Matron of Honor

Note From Taylor: I met Anneka in 2003 when our parents got married, and after growing up with only brothers, I suddenly gained the sister I didn’t even know I was missing. We were about 10 or 11 years old, and for the past 23 years she’s been my constant — my safe place, my biggest supporter, and the one person who has always truly gotten me. Anneka is kind, generous, fiercely loyal, and somehow has always understood my weird humor without question, which is probably why we spent so many nights singing at the top of our lungs in front of our bedroom mirror to the Hilary Duff soundtrack like we were putting on a sold-out concert. Some of my favorite memories are our annual road trips down to Texas to visit our grandparents, singing along to the “retro” music my stepmom loved — and realizing at some point that our own favorite songs had officially joined that category. I chose Anneka as my Maid of Honor because she has always been in my corner: picking up every call, letting me cry when I needed to, pushing me to choose happiness, and loving me exactly as I am, no matter the season of life.
