We're getting married! ⚭

We knew each other through middle school and high school, had the same friend group, but dating never crossed our minds. Then, while a bunch of us went to karaoke and play Guitar Hero all through the night, it just clicked for us. While talking, it was like no one else was there in that moment. That’s pretty much when we thought, "Okay. This could be something."

It was a beautiful breezy weekend when we decided to go hiking at the Palisades Interstate Park. We picked one of the hardest trails we've ever done (we didn't even finish it), but the struggling was worth it when we made it to one of the viewpoints overlooking the Hudson river. We were surrounded by the warm colors of Autumn in the trees with no one in sight. When I turned around to climb back down the rocks, Jose was down on one knee. I burst into tears, gave an enthusiastic "YES," and we were engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! -Alexis and Jose
