I first met Ali and Cody during my residency. I won’t lie- I didn’t think we would ever be this close. As we navigated through the madness and the ups and downs of medical training, I began to see what truly made them special. I spent hours every day with Ali, who turned out to be my neighbor as well. Let’s just say there were plenty of 7 am phone calls, late night rants, night shifts with codes, and some really ridiculously hilarious memories. Cody, however, I had to break in to. I had the pleasure of being his Co-Chief during residency which was really the beginning of our true friendship. Those late night talks, endless schedule building, and the quiet moments of reassurance are memories I will treasure forever. My friendship with both Cody and Ali was built on a foundation of shared experiences and the unspoken understanding that we were always there for each other. It’s funny how life works out sometimes. People you don’t understand at first can become some of the most important, irreplaceable people in your life. I consider myself lucky to have witnessed them fall in love. I’m beyond excited to get them married, to be a part of this wonderful new chapter of happily ever after. Congratulations!

Ali and I met during orientation for residency. I immediately knew she was a force to be reckoned with when she helped get us 401k benefits…the first act of our union! Although residency was one of the hardest times of our lives, Ali’s unwavering friendship helped get us through. Cody joined the residency program one year after us and was a constant source of sarcasm and comedic relief. It was only natural Ali and Cody found each other, and thank god Crosby approves!! Can’t wait to celebrate these two in July!

Ali and I met at orientation day on our first day of Residency in Peoria, IL. As a midwest gal, Ali had a great time making fun of my Wisconsin accent. I got back at her by letting the secret of her and Cody’s blossoming relationship spill to one of our residency classmates. That person is now a groomsman, so I think we are even. Ali has been an amazing friend over those stressful years. We have had a whole bunch of fun as well including: Keg stands, tiny hands, bachelorette nights, Crosby walks, and a lot of vino. She is truly a “ride or die” type of friend.

Ali and I were randomly paired as roommates freshman year at Shepherd University, and we’ve been close ever since. Over the years, our friendship has taken us on adventures near and far- from visiting her during med school in Grenada, England, Paris, NYC, to Taylor swift concerts in Pittsburgh, and skiing in Colorado. There has never been a dull moment. I’m so grateful for the memories we’ve created together and can’t wait to celebrate this next incredible chapter in her and Cody’s life!
