Brooks and Kayla met at the first soccer party way back in 2013 at our alma mater, shout out to Mac College. Friends on either side noticed us catching each other's eye, and pushed us to play beer pong together. The moment Kayla's horrible hand eye coordination skills came into play Brooks was sold. After long distance, multiple apartments, job changes, two cats, and an entire decade of knowing each other there has been two constants; Kayla's horrible hand eye coordination and the way they still look at each other.

What was originally planned as a fun Christmas date night turned into a full day both of us would never forget. Brooks drove me to work in the morning, stopping to get coffee/pastries at our favorite local patisserie (S/O to Heaven's). After work Brooks picked me up with wine, chocolates, and Santa hats to adventure out to peppermint parkway at COTA. It was an early Christmas gift from me for him to drive a lap around the track and live out his F1 dreams (Push Push). We then went to dinner at Intero, a classic farm to table Italian *foodie* restaurant in Austin, shocking I know. On the way home I thought to myself "If no proposal is coming today after all this, when is he going to do it". Little did I know he'd spent the entire day rearranging our apartment into a Christmas wonderland. A trail of lights led from our front door to the Christmas tree with a tiny box underneath. The yes that came out after was one of the easiest I've made. Now we are excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in ATX!
