Let's get married!

We met early January 2016 in Palestine, TX at Lakeview for a Fish Camp retreat to “speed date” with each of the nearly 100 co-chairs to be paired with our perfect partner! Luckily, we were assigned to stay in the same cabin for two nights/three days with 8 other individuals. He decided to target me with flatulence jokes and, of course being me, I went along with it. He says he wasn't trying to knock the wind out of me (you could say flirt but for the joke's sake we will stick with that.) Looking back on it he must have been, right? I believe he knew in that moment we’d get married some day. It took being selected as co-chair partners, building the best camp, 5 years of friendship, living in DFW going on friend dates to Mi Cocina (for the mambo taxis/chips and salsa, duh!), and moving across the country 1000 miles away for him to let me know he was in love with me. And of course, I was in love with him too! The rest is as we all say…history!
