We met on New Year’s Eve in 2020 in Vancouver, WA, and knew pretty quickly there was something special there. Ten days later, we had our first date at The Old Spaghetti Factory. On the way out, he suggested I leave my leftovers behind. I insisted on bringing them, fully confident I could keep them safe for the 15-minute drive home. Of course, due to a little more rain than his Rear Wheel Drive could handle, they were spilled everywhere—setting the tone early for a relationship full of laughter, a little stubbornness, and learning to take each other’s advice (sometimes). From there, everything just clicked. We became inseparable—early mornings together, hiking, camping, and finding any excuse to spend time side by side. That same year, he proposed under the Fourth of July fireworks, and not long after, we were buying our first home and growing our family. We welcomed our son Shaw soon after, and in 2024, added little Abby to our lives in Dallas. From Washington to Texas to Tennessee, we’ve created a life full of love, memories, and a lot of shared experiences along the way. It’s been a fast, beautiful, and sometimes unpredictable journey—but it’s always been ours.
