The Stanley Hotel is a historic landmark in Estes Park, known for its stunning mountain views, rich history, and as the inspiration for The Shining. If you're into iconic hotels, ghost tours, or just want a memorable experience, it's worth checking out!
There are tons of breweries, distilleries, and bars to check out in Estes! This is one that has food, drinks, and apparel to check out, plus a super cool outdoor space!
On your drive out to Estes or on your way back to Denver airport, make a stop in Boulder to check out Pearl Street Mall (restaurant, boutiques, art, etc.) and/or Flatiron hikes (Chautauqua Park is a great spot). There are also tons of hikes and a waterfall down Boulder Canyon Drive!
If you want to explore in downtown Denver, Union Station is a great spot for food & photos!
If you’re planning to explore Colorado beyond the wedding, we highly recommend visiting some of our favorite mountain ski towns. Breckenridge is about a 2-hour drive from Denver and offers something year-round - amazing skiing in the winter, and incredible hiking, scenic views, and charming downtown vibes in the summer. If you’re up for driving a bit further along I-70, Vail is another beautiful option with stunning mountain scenery and a great village atmosphere!
