Breante and I first crossed paths back in 2011 during a night class at the Academy of Art University. What started as a casual bus ride turned into a deep conversation, all sparked by my tattoos—and just like that, a friendship was born. We spent countless hours in the library talking about life, faith, and everything in between. At the time, I only saw Breante as a friend—he had a bit of a ladies’ man reputation, and I wanted no part in that! Life eventually took us in different directions, and for a few years, we lost touch. Then in 2019, right before he left for Japan, Breante reached out—and the connection was instantly rekindled. During the pandemic, our friendship started to shift. Through Bible studies and long conversations about God and purpose, we both began to realize what had been there all along. It was in that sacred, still season that God made it clear—we were meant to be. Now, nearly 15 years later, we’re walking hand in hand into forever. Our journey hasn’t been perfect, but our love story has always felt perfectly written—divinely orchestrated from the very beginning. --
