We’ve technically known each other since second grade, where we shared a friend group and spent recess playing kickball and bump out. While we weren’t best friends back then, it was always fun and friendly. However... there IS written evidence that Aden had a longtime crush dating all the way back to elementary school and through middle school. Fast forward to our second year at Cerro Coso, when we both worked at the Child Development Center, in the same toddler classroom! That’s when Aden finally sent a very casual, very life-changing text: “Hey Brooklyn.” We never stopped texting after that. Just a few days later, while helping the babies build sandcastles during recess, Aden asked Brooklyn on a date… in the sandbox, it's very fitting, really. From that moment on, we were inseparable. What started as childhood acquaintances turned into best friends, partners, and the love of our lives. And now, here we are: ready for our forever.
