Q&A

Listed are a variety of commonly asked questions and their answers. If any question is not answered or still unclear, please reach out.
Question

Where do I park at Lumen Hall?

Answer

There are 17 on site parking spots as well as street parking within the neighborhood. Ideally, wedding party, siblings, and parents will have parking in the parking lot. Please attempt to car pool when able to.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than August 1, 2026. This allows enough time for vendor finalization.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Lumen Hall no later than 4:15 PM on September 4, 2026. This allows enough time for seats to be taken before the ceremony begins at 4:30 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is between semi-formal and cocktail attire. Examples would be suit, dress shirt and tie, knee to floor length dress, or dressy separates. Please avoid all black and (of course) white, as these are the colors of the wedding party attire. Most importantly, dress appropriately for dancing and celebrating!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be inside the beautiful chapel of Lumen Hall. Then, the beginning of the reception will be inside the dining hall. Once the dance floor is opened, the stunning courtyard will be opened as well. So, outdoor celebration is optional, as the main celebrations will occur inside.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. If someone in your household was not listed on the invitation, please reach out!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! We only ask that you ensure you and your child are respectful of our day. Please do not allow them to run into the dance floor during first dances, etc. If you need to step out to tend to your child, we completely understand!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Liquor is not allowed on the premises. We will provide a variety of seltzers and beer at the bar, and optional champagne for toasts. Feel free to share recommendations for seltzers and beer (as we are new to this whole 21+ thing, lol).

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our ceremony “unplugged” but after, feel free to take photos and videos! This is for the professional photos of the ceremony to not have phones covering faces. We want to see you!

Question

Where will wedding updates be posted?

Answer

Additional updates or changes that need your attention will appear on our wedding website homepage or on the facebook group. When guests RSVP, they will be added to the facebook group.
