House Or Rental
La Dogana consists of 12 apartments from studios to 2-bedrooms. Each apartment has it's own private bathroom and kitchen. We look forward to acting as a middleman and working with each of you to ensure that you are fully accommodated during your stay. See the FAQ's for more information on housing and travel.
Flight
The Amerigo Vespucci Aiport in Florence, Italy is the closest international airport option (1.5 hours). At Florence airport there is a shuttle train called Tramvia that departures every 20 minutes and brings you directly to the center train station of Florence and back with €1.50, from there you can take the train to Terontola-Cortona. From Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station to Terontola-Cortona, it is approximately €25 per person round trip. A shuttle will be available for those who choose this option. Guests may also choose to rent a car and drive to the location. This option is recommended if you plan to continue your trip in the Italian countryside before or after the wedding celebration.
Flight
The Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome, Italy has the most direct routes available and is located 3 hours from the venue. At Rome airport there is a shuttle train called Leonardo Express that departures every 15 minutes and brings you for €14 in 32 minutes directly to the center train station of Rome (Called: Termini Station), from there you can take the train to Terontola-Cortona. For guests that chose to use the train, transportation from the Terontola-Cortona station to the venue will be available to you. Guests may also choose to rent a car and drive to the location. This option is recommended if you plan to continue your trip in the Italian countryside before or after the wedding celebration.
Rental Car
Driving to the venue is recommended if you plan on extending your trip in the Italian countryside as Uber does not exist in the countryside. We recommend booking a rental car from the airport you arrive to and driving to the airport. There is free onsite parking for all guests. Below you will find directions for arriving to the estate. La Dogana, Lucia’s Estate, is situated at via Firenze kilometre 45 (we do not have a street number), Tuoro sul Trasimeno, please follow the google maps link and the instructions below: https://maps.app.goo.gl/iTHie9dDqxbLE3Ur6 When you are on the highway exit at TUORO SUL TRASIMENO follow the main road on the right (if you come from Tuscany when you exit is the road in front of you) until the end. At the traffic lights go left direction Arezzo and you are in via Firenze. Continue straight on until you see the antique building of la Dogana and its 5 arches continue straight on and you will find our Restaurant on the left, few meters straight on and on your right you will find the entrance of the apartments building a big gate. At the gate you will find an intercom push the ring button to call the reception that will open for you the gate, go up on the left you will find the parking and in few minutes a staff member will come to you for the check-in. Travel Note
Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay. You will need proof of sufficient funds and a return plane ticket. From mid-2025 new legislation will require you to apply for a travel authorisation before entering Italy. This is for you, your family and any guest you bring with you if you are from countries included on the visa-exempt list, you may apply online.
