How we met

From ‘Nice to meet you’ to ‘Can’t live without out you!’

Chris and Lindsay met in the summer of 2007 when Lindsay’s friend, Christine, introduced her to Chris. Christine and Chris had grown up as neighbors, and it was through her that Lindsay was introduced to Chris. While Lindsay and Chris quickly became friends, life took them in different directions, and they eventually lost touch, though they occasionally reconnected over the years. Everything changed on March 26, 2017, when Lindsay and Chris reunited and went for a walk along the Dunedin Causeway in Dunedin, FL. It felt as though no time had passed. They spent hours talking, reminiscing, laughing and catching up on the events of the past decade. Lindsay often says that day marked the beginning of forever, even though it was Chris who took another ten months to finally ask her to be his girlfriend (but who's counting?!) From that moment on, they’ve been inseparable, standing side by side through all of life’s ups and downs.

The Proposal

Proof that holiday magic works...and so does Chris' timing!

As the holidays approached, Lindsay couldn't help but feel this year might be extra special. She and Chris had gone engagement ring shopping over the summer (2024), and the thought of him popping the question lingered in the back of her mind. On Christmas Eve (2024), their evening began with a beautiful candlelight service at The Chapel, in Trinity, FL. The soft glow of candles and the warmth of the season set the perfect tone. Afterward, they headed to Lindsay's parents' house for a delicious steak dinner. Everything felt so perfect, yet Chris managed to keep his cool. Before they left, Chris casually mentioned stopping by his brother Vincent's house to grab some "gifts" his dad and dropped off earlier in the day. Lindsay thought nothing of it, unaware that the most important "gift" was safely tucked away - a ring that would change everything. Later that evening, they joined friends to celebrate Christmas Eve, but Lindsay couldn't shake her curiosity. On the way home, she teased Chris, asking if an engagement was coming. Chris, ever calm and collected, gave her nothing more than his signature smirk, leaving her guessing - and hoping. When they stepped through their front door, Lindsay was met with a breathtaking surprise. The room was glowing with candles, and photos of their love story lined a pathway to their Christmas tree. Each picture told a story, leading to the moment they had been waiting for. Chris gently took her hand, led her to the tree, and got down on one knee. With love in his eyes and a smile on his face, he asked Lindsay to spend forever with him. In that magical moment, surrounded by the warmth of their memories and the spirit of Christmas, Lindsay said yes to the greatest gift of all - a lifetime together. It was a night they would cherish forever, the perfect beginning to their happily ever after.
