FAQs

Question

Are you requiring COVID vaccines?

Answer

Respectfully, we require everyone who plans to attend one or more of the events to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, as the bride and some others in attendance are immunosuppressed. King County requirements also state that all guests, vendors, and staff for the wedding must either provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 3 days when they arrive at the venue. The most convenient way to show your proof of vaccination is to take a photo of your vaccination card and save it in your phone, which you will then show at the venue. The venue may also ask to see your ID to ensure the name on the vaccination card matches to your ID. Once you enter and your proof of vaccination is confirmed, masks will not be required for wedding guests, but staff and vendors will remain masked at all times. If for some reason you cannot be fully vaccinated ahead of the wedding, please reach out to the bride and groom directly at brookewedsedels@gmail.com.

Question

What are the COVID-19 requirements in Seattle?

Answer

In order to enter any restaurants, bars, museums, and hotels in Seattle you are required to both wear a mask and show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. The most convenient way to show proof is by taking a photo of your vaccination card and saving it in your phone. Currently all locations are accepting the photo on your phone as proof of vaccination, though some may also ask to see your ID to ensure the name on the vaccination card matches to your ID. Additionally, most locations require you to remain masked unless you are actively eating or drinking so please remember your mask when you are out and about in Seattle. For more on the current COVID-19 guidance, see the King Country website: https://kingcounty.gov/depts/health/covid-19/current-guidance.aspx

Question

Are you requiring COVID PCR tests ahead of the wedding?

Answer

Not at this time. However, we do ask that anyone who is showing possible COVID-19 symptoms and/or was possibly exposed to someone who has tested positive get a PCR test before the wedding.

Question

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Formal/black tie optional, please. Options include a floor length gown, formal cocktail dress or pantsuit, dark suit, or a tux.

Question

Can I wear white or off-white?

Answer

If your outfit has some white or off-white in it, that is fine. Please no solid white or off-white attire.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

During the ceremony we ask that you turn off and put away your phones and cameras. We have hired a professional photographer to capture how this moment looks with their camera, so you can capture how it feels with your hearts! After the ceremony feel free to take photos and share them on social media with #BrookeWedsEdels so we can find and enjoy them!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are young kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We respectfully request no children under 15 at the ceremony or reception. Your children are welcome to join us for our Sunday Brunch!

Question

I have a food allergy; can I eat at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please include any food intolerances or allergies when you RSVP; we will work with the caterers to ensure there is food you can eat.

Question

Is there transportation provided from the hotel to the wedding venue?

Answer

No; the hotels we have organized room blocks/discounts at are a short walk from the ceremony and reception venue. If you are staying at a hotel further away, your hotel may provide transportation or help you in booking a taxi. The ridesharing apps Uber and Lyft are also very common in Seattle and a good option for transport.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is limited paid parking at the Columbia Tower Club, however there are many parking garages nearby in downtown Seattle.

Question

Do you have hotel blocks?

Answer

Yes! You can find info about our hotel blocks on the Travel & Lodging page.

Question

What are my options for COVID testing?

Answer

Tests are pretty easy to find in Seattle, especially if you plan ahead. 1) https://discoveryhealthmd.com/offer/seattle-capitol-hill-testing/ This company offers rapid results either at the airport or in two locations not far from the hotel. 2) https://www.polyclinic.com/covid-19-resources/covid-19-testing.html We've done PCR testing here (it's close to the venue and our suggested hotels) and usually get our results by EOD if we go before lunch.

Question

I have a question that wasn't answered here; who can I reach out to?

Answer

If you have any other questions you can message Brooke and Alex at brookewedsedels@gmail.com.
