Thanks to our best friends we both ended up on "Ok, Cupid". While Will was on there to genuinely meet people, Brooke wasn't looking for anything other than to read profiles to see what crazy things people would write. All Will had to say was "hi" to get Brooke to respond at first, and within a day he asked to meet her. She played hard to get for a whole week before agreeing to go out on a date!
As nervous at they were they met at Cheesecake Factory for dinner! After getting past the awkwardness of meeting someone new and not knowing what to say, they found each other easy to talk to! After sharing an appetizer and each getting a piece of cheesecake, they spent 5, yes we said 5, hours talking at the restaurant. Will was a perfect gentleman and walked Brooke to her car before leaving. As soon as we were each in our own cars we called the people who needed to know about our date night the most.
Did you know that Will is terrified of ferris wheels? Brooke didn't know either, until after this date. Will suggested a date at the Orlando Eye (a really, really, really big ferris wheel). Brooke thought it was a great idea as she had never done it before. As we got on the ferris wheel, Will decided to tell Brooke of his fear of ferris wheels rolling off. It gave him an excuse to hug her as they got closer and closer to the top. As they looked out from the ferris wheel they could see EPCOTs fireworks going off in the background. Next thing Brooke knew she was being kissed! Brooke is still wondering if there is real fear to these ferris wheels or if it was just an excuse to pull her closer...
Six months into the relationship Will picked out the perfect engagement ring; they both knew this was going to be their forever. But, he couldn't propose just yet. They both impatiently waited for a year of being together to pass. Will would tease Brooke and even pretended to propose once by getting on one knee to "tie his shoe". Then their one year anniversary came and passed and there was still no proposal... After their anniversary they were "invited" to go to the Orlando Eye for Brooke's maid of honors birthday. Brooke knew something was up when Will's best man was bringing her to the Eye and didn't leave...did we mention it was on the exact date of their first kiss just one year prior? Anyway, continuing to pretend we were celebrating Alyssa's birthday we got wine and got on to the eye. When approaching the top at sunset Will asked Brooke if she wanted a piece of gum. Not turning around to look at him she said no. His next words were "well, would you marry me instead then?" Brooke of course said yes or this wedding wouldn't be happening! We can't wait to celebrate the beginning of the next chapter of our lives with you! See you soon!
