Yes, Cabo is safe to visit. According to the U.S. Department of State, Baja California Sur (which includes Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo) is currently rated Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution, the same category as France, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The current advisory has been in place since August 12, 2025, and there have been no changes or new warnings issued for Los Cabos since that update. Importantly, there are no travel restrictions for U.S. government employees in this region, which the State Department typically uses as an indicator of stable safety conditions in key tourist zones. Los Cabos is a 22-hour drive the unrest you may have seen on the news or social media.
Not at all. Everything you need is on the resort and you can enjoy the entire experience without ever leaving if that is your preference. That said, we're planning an optional outing to the marina for shopping. Tyler is also organizing a fishing charter soon. Reach out to Tyler if you'd like to join! Last time we stayed at Sandos, Tyler and his new-found friends caught a 160 lb Marlin. They brought it back to the resort and Don Diego's (a restaurant on-site) reserved tables for us and cooked the fish several different ways for our dinner. I'll share some pictures in the gallery.
The resort is stunning. It's built beside the mountains and there are breathtaking ocean views. There's plenty to do, and the grounds are very walkable. You'll naturally run into friends and family throughout your stay without having to plan it. If you know very few people attending, don't fret, you'll make friends quickly.
Your stay includes: All airport transportation (to and from) All meals All beverages Tipping the service staff is appreciated but entirely optional. Last time Tyler and I were here the staff as a whole was phenomenal.
It's just over an hour drive.
Sooner rather than later. Last time we spoke with Lisa, she said you only need to put $50 down to reserve your spot right now. Rooms go quickly so please don't wait!
Contact Lisa Conley, our travel agent, (see travel page) and she'll walk you through all pricing options. Lisa can arrange your complete travel accommodations, including transportation to and from the airport.
We were told to recommend arriving the day before if you're a guest, or two days before if you're part of the wedding party. This allows for any travel delays and ensures you're settled in comfortably.
