We're Getting Married!

Brooke was in college at Cal Poly when she was convinced to tag along to a friend-of-a-friend's birthday party in Monterey. Somewhere between birthday toasts and small talk, Tyler and Brooke found themselves deep in conversation and sparks quietly started to fly. As the night wound down, their mutual friends hatched a matchingmaking plan that worked better than anyone could have expected. By the end of the night, Tyler and Brooke exchanged numbers and began talking on the phone every single day. Exactly one week after meeting, Brooke drove back to Monterey for their first date — a slow, scenic drive down the Big Sur coastline to Bixby Bridge. They listened to good music and had even better conversations. Just one month later, Tyler planned a surprise staycation for the two of them at the Vespara Resort in Pismo Beach where he asked Brooke to be his girlfriend, and she didn't think twice about saying yes! They spent the next 2+ years in a long distance relationship while Brooke finished school and Tyler started his career in construction. Tyler always joked that he “loved college” (he didn’t go) because he spent so much time visiting her in San Luis Obispo and never had to do any coursework! After Brooke graduated in June 2023, they finally closed the distance, moved in together, and began building a life they love. They settled into their home in Marina, CA, and soaked in the everyday joys of simply being together. On February 16, 2025, after 4+ years of dating, Tyler proposed at a winery called Shadybrook Estate in Napa, CA. It was the perfect ending to a Valentine's Day weekend full of wine tasting, fancy hotels and lots of quality time. They decided to enjoy a full year of engagement before planning their big day. Now with wedding planning in full swing, they can’t wait to celebrate their next chapter with all of the people who mean the most to them!
