Maid of Honor
Courtney, I could not be luckier to have her as my best friend, neighbor and sister. She has been here for me since the day I was born. We have had countless adventures and laughs and she has always been a rock for me, no matter how busy life gets. The last few months, I've thoroughly enjoyed telling Court how I envision her fussing with my fifty foot long train on my wedding day! If somehow you don't know my sis..she is a force! Courtney is a successful career gal and wonderful mother to Max!
Best Man
My best man is my little bro. There is literally not a day that goes by that we don't text or talk. We've always been competitive, but super supportive of each other. Like the time he was 3 yrs old and punched me in the nose when I was tying his shoe. Or when I got him back later that year when I talked him into touching the orange burner on the stove to see what it felt like. Recently, Trent finally accepted the fact I am the better looking brother, the superior athlete and of course...the smarter one. (I may have embellished a bit.) Trent is married to his high school sweetheart Shannon and father to George.
Bridesmaid
Melissa is about as old school as they come. We met at Brentfield Elementary School in Dallas, Texas circa 1983. We were also cheerleaders together at Park Hill Junior High School. Did I mention we technically lived on the same street growing up? She's always there to listen or have a good laugh. She currently owns and operates a sweet pod cast studio in D Town. So all y'all who keep talking about it...hit her up. Melissa is also wife to Bart and an incredible mother to Hudson, Parker and Annabelle.
Groomsman
Whether he is winning a national championship in baseball (he's won three), making all A's at one of the top schools in America or volunteering his culinary skills at the LA Kitchen, Georgie Ballgame brings a confidence and enthusiasm to everything he does. He's so good, he actually makes me look better to my future family! Great things are ahead for this young man and I couldn't be more honored to be his UNCLE.
Bridesmaid
Rachie and I met in the mid 90s at USC. She is one of the most gifted people I know. Also incredibly funny. She was a child prodigy of a musician. I had the sheer pleasure of sharing many magical musical moments with Rachie in college and for many years after. Today, she shares her gift as a vocal and piano coach. She is also a loving wife, and mom to Axel and London Douglass.
Groomsman
I've known El’ Wiese since I was 8 years old. We have suffered and rejoiced as lifelong Buccaneer fans. We've played thousands of baseball and softball games together. When he ran for senior class president, I was his campaign manager. We even double dated at our prom. Eric and I worked our first job together as delivery drivers for Dino's Pizza. Years later, I helped him propose to his wife, Kim. So it seems only natural that he would be one of my groomsmen. Everyone please say hello to one of the odds on favorites to win MVP of the dance floor "Waheece!” Eric resides in Tampa with his wife Kim and daughters Charlotte and Bridgette.
Father of the Bride
As a little girl I dreamt of the moment my father would walk me down the aisle and give me away. As an adult the dream has evolved. Now I wish for more moments with my dad by our side, enjoying our new family, whatever shape that may take. So with apologies to Mr Cooper, here’s to my first love - The Don. A man who has accomplished many great things in life and business, yet somehow still manages to do or say something that makes me giggle and feel like I’m a kid again. If you are meeting him for the first time, be sure to ask about his glory days in D3 college basketball where he allegedly averaged 42 pts a night and invented the crossover dribble.
Mother of the Bride
I’m proud to say that Stacey has been part of our family since 2002. And while it’s impossible for anyone to ever replace my own mother, Courtney and I have gained a dear friend and sister in Stacey. Her grace and spirit are only matched by her love of animals. When she’s not caring for or rescuing her own four legged friends, you can find her at the Humane Society of the United States', National Council fighting to end all manor of animal cruelty including taking on multibillion dollar industries in an effort to reform their animal welfare policies. As we used to say in the early to mid 90's, “You go girl!”
Ring Bearer
Max, my one and only nephew and god-son is a first grader this year! He goes to Hollywood School House. Max plays a mean game of tether ball, and can be seen playing baseball, soccer and basketball in the local leagues. However, he loves gaming more than anything. He's thinking of getting into pro wrestling when he is 25. But there is so much to do before then! So grateful he can be here as our ring-bearer! Love you buddy!!!
Flower Girl
Velma is my super excited to get dressed up today and be our flower girl. Although she was born in Los Angeles, she now resides in Alabama, with her parents, Leigh (Brooke's cousin), Cliff and brother Scout. Velma just started 2nd grade. She is a mad artist. Favorite color is Teal. She loves swimming, playing with her cat, monkey bars, nail polish & ice cream.
Officiant
We're lucky enough to have one of Brooke's dearest friends, Amy Sparks officiate our wedding. Going back to their USC days, these two were just a couple of hopeful starlets trying to catch a break in Hollywood. Looking back, who would have thought Amy would be marrying us on the side of a cliff?! When Amy is not playing "Rabbi" she moonlights as a stand up comedian. She is also a loving wife to Logan and mom to Stanton.
