Wedding Party

Bethany Baumer

Maid of Honor

Bethany and I first met in 1989 when my parents ended my streak as an only child. She and I did everything together growing up, including going on imaginary double dates with celebrities. We used to tell people that we were twins named Tia and Tamara, and know every word to Rubberband Man. She's technically a "Matron" of Honor, but I didn't want to be rude. Bethany was my first sibling, my first best friend, my confidant, partner in crime, "twin", and other half. Seeing her get married earlier this year to the love of her life was one of the happiest days in my life, and I can't wait to share my joy with her as my Maid of Honor. We were born sisters but have chosen to be best friends, and my wedding day wouldn't be complete without her excitement, tears, jokes, and dance moves.

Maryanna Baumer

Maid of Honor

My littlest and craziest sister, Maryanna was the flower girl at Bethany's wedding and threw tissues at people. After that incident, I decided it was best she got promoted at my wedding to something that involved little to no tossing. Maryanna marches to the beat of her own drum, insists she has never eaten a pickle, and claims to be an introvert. She has probably already asked you to join her for a dance/rap/song during our wedding reception. You won't be able to miss her on the dance floor. She is the life of the party, and cannot go longer than three minutes without talking. She lights up the life of everyone she knows and HATES being called a baby. My life and my wedding day wouldn't be complete without this crazy, energetic, loving, little deviled-egg hating introvert by my side.

Katie Hanson

Maid of Honor

Katie and I met in high school when I sat in front her in English and started talking. She didn't talk back for nearly 3 months, but after that we were BFF. She is the Elizabeth to my Jane, the Monica to my Rachel, my guru, and ride or die. Everyone I know claims that Katie is their best friend, so it is an honor to get to call her mine. For over half of my life, Katie has been by my side giving advice, showing support, and often telling me to stop acting crazy. She is a blessing to everyone who knows her and good to her core. I am so thankful that she sat behind me in English class 15 years ago, and so grateful that she didn't demand to move seats. She has been listening to me plan my wedding for ten years and the real thing wouldn't be complete without her.

Christina Shelton

Bridesmaid

Christina is one of my nearest and dearest friends. She is my very best friend from college and an amazing and inspirational woman. She asked me to be the godmother to her oldest child and forgave me when I missed the Baptism. There are few things in my life that couldn't be solved over a long chat and a cup of coffee at Coffee Bean with Christina. Job changes, break-ups, college, marriage, and that missed Baptism are just a few of the things that we have shared over the years. She is forgiving, smart, funny, kind, loyal and a strong woman. She is an amazing mom and wife, and I am lucky to call her one of my best friends. She is a light in my life, and I couldn't imagine this day without her by my side.

Emily Piper

Bridesmaid

Emily and I were set up on a friend date by her husband, Colin. During our first date, we realized that we were basically the exact same person. A week later, we were at a party together wearing the same shoes, and that was the moment we knew: It was love! I invited her to Vegas for my birthday a few weeks later, and we announced on that trip via Facebook that we were new BFFs. Emily introduced me to dirty martinis, shares a love of the Housewives, and has been an amazing friend for as long as I have known her. She is one of the funniest people I know, and the only person I know who can pull off wearing lederhosen. She loves with her whole heart and is the best person to share a laugh with.

Chelsee Gille

Bridesmaid

Chelsee and I met when we worked together at Fresh Start, and bonded when we had a boss that told us everyone in the office hated us. Not a joke!! Luckily, we found out that our boss was crazy, and that everyone in our office adored us. Chelsee shares so many things with me: her Cheese Itz, a big forehead, a loud laugh, and a love of the Spice Girls. I love Chelsee because she laughs at all of my jokes, signed the Friend Contact I asked her to sign, and is a supportive, compassionate woman. She is little but mighty and one of the few people Mason actually likes. I knew my wedding day wouldn't be the same without her, and honestly, Mason demanded she be in the wedding party.

Tara Saldivar

Bridesmaid

As Teddy's only sister, I was terrified to met Tara for the first time. My fears were confirmed when she hardly acknowledged my presence and wouldn't shake my hand. Eventually, she decided that I was worthy of her attention and she allowed me to be part of the family. I am glad she decided to like me, because I love her and am also a little scared of her. Since then, I have been lucky to become friends with Tara and share road trips, adventures, and holidays together. She has a huge Dalmatian dog who is scared of Mason, and is one of the few people who indulges my obsession with my precious little puppy. As Tara becomes my new sister, I am so glad to have her with my on my wedding day!!

Carolyn Burek

Bridesmaid

Few people have been as important to Teddy as Erik and Carolyn. Carolyn and Teddy met at Colorado State University where they eventually became amazing friends. I have heard lots of stories about camping, partying, Breckenridge, and CSU and Carolyn is in almost all of them. Carolyn and I met at a New Years Eve party that she and Erik hosted, and I could immediately see why she is so loved by her friends. Over the years, she and I have become great friends too, and I knew that our wedding party wouldn't be the same without Carolyn in it. She is kind, genuine, hilarious, brilliant, and just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. We are so happy to have her standing with us on our wedding day!

Mike Schofield

Best Man

Mike and Teddy met in 7th grade and the two quickly bonded over their love of baseball, snowboarding, and punk rock music. After high school Mike and Teddy attended Colorado State University, where the two of them lived in an apartment that his parents bought. In college the two of them attempted to become rock stars, with Mike playing the drums and Teddy playing the guitar in a “band.” Music fortune and fame escaped the two, but Mike got a job in professional baseball after college, and that’s pretty much just as cool as being a rock star. Mike made Arizona a second home of sorts while he worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks, thus each began their professional lives together in the Valley. Teddy, along with Erik, were the Co-Best Men in Mike’s wedding, now Mike is returning the favor.

Erik Hartwick

Best Man

Erik is Teddy’s longest friend, as they first met in 5th grade. They have not stopped getting in trouble together since. Over two decades later and the two remain the best of friends. The duo grew up playing football, baseball, and snowboarding together. When it became obvious that professional sports were not in Erik and Teddy’s future, they decided to go to Colorado State University where they roomed together freshman year. After college Teddy moved to Arizona for law school and Erik pursued his Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Despite the distance the two remained close. Erik made the trip for Teddy’s graduation. Teddy also got to watch Erik defend his Master’s Thesis; where he understood three words, “hello,” “protein,” and “cancer.” Teddy is honored to have Erik join Mike as Co-Best Men.

Nick Koenig

Groomsman

One word can be used to describe Nick, loyal. Want proof? Go ask Nick who is the best quarterback in the NFL. Without missing a beat he will tell you the name of the Denver Broncos starting quarterback. Right now the best quarterback in the NFL is Case Keenum. Aside from drinking the Blue and Orange kool-aid, Nick has been a close friend of Teddy’s since college. One day on spring break in College they road their bikes to one of the numerous Breweries in Fort Collins, Colorado. About 5 miles from home Teddy got a puncture. Despite having a perfectly working bicycle, Nick walked with Teddy the entire way home, and then they went and got cheeseburgers.

Rob Haug

Groomsman

Rob and Teddy met their freshman year of College when the two were suite mates at Corbet Hall. Rob’s outgoing demeanor and optimistic approach to everything is something Teddy first noticed about him. Teddy also quickly realized that in College Rob was the only friend of his that was competent in the kitchen, thus, Rob was always up to make a good meal for his friends. Whether it is a night on the town or a small gathering with friends, Rob has always been great at bringing the “group” together. Also, Rob is always the best dressed, and chances are, he probably paid more for that scotch he is sipping than your last car insurance payment. But don’t get jealous, because he would be happy to pour you a drink. It’s just the kind of guy he is.

Jason Kent

Groomsman

Jason and Teddy’s friendship is another one that spans over a decade and started when the two were in college. Jason has been a caring friend over the years and his energetic personality is immediately apparent when you talk to him. Jason is one of the few people who can pull off sporting a three inch fohawk while wearing a suit. Whether Jason is on a golf course, a dirt bike, or a snowboard, he is sure to show you a good time. Teddy was in Jason’s wedding last year and he is honored to have him stand by Teddy in his own wedding.

Trent Saldivar

Groomsman

Trent is Teddy’s younger brother. For a period growing up Teddy was able to enact his physical dominance over Trent in their frequent WWE style wrestling matches. These days Teddy would not stand a chance. Trent, who managed to put 4 inches on Teddy, likes to pass his time by doing a masochistic form of torture called “cross-fit.” As a kid, Trent was terrified of the movie Jurassic Park, so being a good big brother Teddy forced Trent into a child’s car seat, locked the seat, turned on the movie, and left the room. If Trent ever needs the services of a psychiatrist, he can send Teddy the bill. Unlike the Jurassic Park incident, Trent’s participation as a groomsmen in the wedding is completely voluntary.

James Baumer

Groomsman

James is the only one of Brooke’s siblings that does not live in the Phoenix area and he was the last sibling that Teddy met. As such, expectations were high when James met Teddy for the first time at Thanksgiving in 2014. You can imagine Teddy’s utter terror when James pretended that Teddy hurt his hand when they first shook hands. James is a successful activist in Washington D.C., who also happens to rub elbows with Carrie Underwood and Joe Biden. They are both big fans of James. This last Thanksgiving James was back at the Baumer house, and almost ruined the perfect proposal by jumping the gun on his excitement when Teddy was about to propose in front of the whole family.

John Baumer

Groomsman

John, often regarding as the most responsible of the Baumer children, was the only sibling that Teddy told of his plan to ask Brooke to marry him. John helped capture the moment on video. Since Teddy has met John he has been a great friend and very welcoming. During the summer months John will even go play golf and drink beers with Teddy in the 110 degree heat.

Mason

Ring Bearer

Mason was adopted on November 5, 2015 and our lives were never the same! Since that day, he has become the most spoiled and loved little dog on the planet, with nicknames that include Boo Boo Bear and Sneaky Ghost. We know we're crazy and we don't care, if he was your fur child, you would understand.
