It was the summer of 2018 when Steven announced that Brooke Byas would be his wife. The infamous story begins at the heart of Dick's Sporting Goods, when Steven was riding up the escalator with another coworker, noticing Brooke in front of the footwear deck. Turning towards said coworker, Steven declared, “Watch, one day I’m going to marry that girl.” Lucky for him, that day is arriving soon! It wasn’t until May 18th of 2019 that Brooke and Steven made it official as boyfriend and girlfriend. The time in between was spent getting to know one another, creating a friendship, and Brooke making sure Steven met her ungodly high standards. Good job, Steven! You passed! After years of long-distance, Steven and Brooke thrived on the importance of supporting each other’s dreams, working hard, and surrounding themselves with a strong community. This was rooted in their families, who highlighted the motto of working together as a team, as well as in their backgrounds in sport; this was easy to understand. Never once would they take their journey for granted. Steven and Brooke planted themselves in the town that shaped them both, and shortly after celebrating six years of dating, Steven popped the question during vacation in Naples, Florida. As you can assume by now, Brooke said yes! Always a duo and forever teammates, Steven and Brooke are joyful to conquer life together and immensely grateful that YOU get to celebrate their love with them on Stepember 6th, 2026! The greatest game both of them have ever gotten to play is the one they do together.
