Stein and Brooke met working at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in the summer of 2024. Being in the same community group they became good friends, and a few months after the summer ended they reconnected and began their relationship. Stein interned at Snowbird for the next year while Brooke lived in Jacksonville attending the University of North Florida and working. They dated long-distance for 9 months, traveling many miles between North Carolina and Florida to spend time together. In September 2025, the Lord provided a place for Stein to move to Middleburg, Florida, and soon later a job in Green Cove. After enjoying living so close, 6 months later Stein proposed to Brooke at the beach at Hanna Park. Once married, they will live in the Jacksonville/St. Johns area while Brooke continues pursuing her business, Sandpiper Coffee, and Stein will attend electrician school to attain his journeyman's license.
