Lilly Townsend

Maid of Honor

My life changed forever the morning of January 6, 2007 when this amazing girl entered my life. From the second I held her in my arms I have been in love with her. Lilly continues to amaze me with how smart she is. She is excelling in her first year of high school in all of her classes, including Honors Math and Science. When I tried to decide who I wanted to stand next to me while I married my best friend, it was a no-brainer. Lilly is my favorite girl in the world. Even while she tries to educate me on all that is “on trend”, and I continue to roll my eyes at what she thinks is cool; we still have so much fun together. She may wear the “Mom-Jeans” in this house but I will continue to remind her to pick them up off the floor. :)

Rob Holmes

Best Man

Brother of Ryan "The eldest son of Fred and Susan Holmes, Rob has always been a great big brother to Ryan. He has always been there for him in the big moments in life and was particularly helpful after Ryan's apartment burned down, while also helping him move from Massachusetts to Michigan a few years ago. Born one day and four years apart a week before Christmas, Rob and Ryan have been forced to share many birthday parties over the years and even had matching Mongoose BMX bikes growing up. One of their biggest accomplishments together was sharing a paper route together as kids and saving up enough money to buy the G.I. Joe USS Flagg Aircraft carrier after its brief stint on layaway. Rob currently lives in Northern Kentucky, outside of Cincinnati and recently became a grandfather!"

Jennifer Watkins

Matron of Honor

Jen and I met in the fall of 2012. Our girls were in Kindergarten. Lilly and I were invited to Angelia’s birthday party at Jungle Java. For those of you that don’t know, Jungle Java is similar to the miserable havoc at Chuck E Cheese, but with coffee! Jen handled the large group of 6 year old’s with grace and patience. From that moment on, I knew this was going to be the kind of woman I could be friends with! Soon after, the kids and I started attending church with Jen and her family and our faith continued to grow. I truly feel God brought Jen to me when I needed a friend and spiritual guidance the most! We have enjoyed many silly girls nights and I know we will continue them until we’re old & grey! Jen is genuine, funny, loving and an amazing friend!

Mike Barefoot

Best Man

Best Friend of Ryan "The youngest of five children in the Barefoot family, Mike was blessed with four older sisters to watch over him as he grew up. It took about 15 years, but Mike finally got the big brother he was waiting for during a chance encounter at Calvary Baptist Church in Leroy, NY. The bromance started with workouts at Holmes' Gym and continued with summer-league soccer games and trips to Fredonia and Gettysburg in college. Eventually, Mike and Ryan spent a year as roommates in Orange County, CA and took many Marriott trips together, highlighted by their life-changing showdown with Hurricane Irma on the island of St. Thomas in 2017. Mike currently lives outside of D.C. in Tysons Corner, VA. He is Marine Corp. veteran and co-owner of Reserve Tasting Room in Lynchburg, VA."
