We’re Getting Married!

Like most great love stories, Brooke and Michael’s began a little earlier than anyone realized. While many know they met in college, their first encounter actually happened just before it even began, at orientation. They were placed in the same group, and when the orientation leader encouraged everyone to introduce themselves, Brooke heard a voice from behind her say, “Hi, I’m Michael.” That simple introduction turned into a full day of conversation, laughter, and an unexpected connection. In the weeks leading up to the start of college, Brooke and Michael were constantly talking and flirting, getting to know each other more with every message. By the time the first few weeks of college rolled around, it was clear something special was forming, and on August 24, 2017, they officially began dating. Throughout their college years, they truly brought out the best in one another! Studying side by side, going on spontaneous adventures, and building a life together. Along the way, they welcomed two very important additions to their little family! Their cat, Chloe, and their snake, Basil. Years later, on July 14, 2024, Michael planned the ultimate surprise. He took Brooke on a hot air balloon ride over their college town, a place filled with so many memories. Halfway through the flight, high above the ground and surrounded by the place where it all began, Michael asked Brooke to marry him. Now, after nearly nine years together, they are excited to begin their next chapter and say “I do” this coming June! Ready for a lifetime of love, adventure, and growing together.
