We're getting married!

Brooke and Luke both grew up in Reedsburg but didn't fall in love until their college years. Brooke always knew Luke had a crush on her, as he once requested to be girlfriend and boyfriend on Facebook in high school! His grandpa even asked who his new girlfriend was. It was truly meant to be! They started dating when Brooke was entering her junior year of college at UW La Crosse, and Luke was starting nursing school at Madison College. Now they've been together for 5 years, with the wedding being the start of year 6!

Luke and Brooke had concert tickets to see Elton John at Soldier Field in Chicago with Bob and Sandy. Prior to the concert, they went for cocktails and a walk to Navy Pier. Noticing Bob and Sandy holding hands on the walk, Brooke asked Luke, "Hey want to hold hands too?" and she quickly got the response, "No! It's too hot." ... as he had his hand in his pocket the entire walk holding something special. When they got to Navy Pier, Sandy was scoping out the best photo spot "for her and Bob." Right before Luke proposed, Brooke almost got pooped on by a bird, with the poop landing inches from her feet. They posed for photos with the beautiful Chicago skyline in the background, when Luke got down on one knee. It was the easiest yes, and the tears followed shortly after!
