For this couple, there was no “love at first sight”. Their story was a slow one starting all the way back in 2015 when Brooke, a freshman in high school, became fast friends with a girl whose last name was Beavers. Kyle was her older brother, a junior at the time. Their paths seldom crossed apart from the occasionally run in at the Beavers’ household. As time went on, their paths began to intertwine more at family events and parties. As Brooke’s senior year flew by, Kyle and her developed a sort of friendship. The summer of 2019 before Brooke was moving to Wyoming for college, the two began to hang out and talk more than they had in the past. Neither of them ever suggested any feelings towards one another, but both admit they were definitely there by the time summer of 2019 ended. Brooke moved to Wyoming for college, but the two continued to talk almost daily. By October of 2019, they had enough and finally admitted feelings for one another and Kyle asked Brooke on a date. Kyle and Brooke began dating on November 8th, 2019. Their relationship started off as long distance for almost three years while Brooke was in college with frequent visits between Longmont and Laramie. After quite a lengthy wait, they were able to move into their first apartment in 2022 with Brooke’s cat, Tana. They navigated living on their own and started their careers together along with upgrading to a larger apartment in 2023. They then added another four-legged child to their family, Ripley. Kyle proposed to Brooke on April 6th, 2024. In case you didn’t know, she said yes! Now they will officially tie the knot, though they joke that it feels as though they’ve already been married for a while now. After 4 years of being acquaintances, 3 years of long distance, and almost 3 years of living together, Kyle is still successful at making Brooke laugh every day, which is definitely his favorite sound.
