If road biking is more your style take a scenic two mile bike ride into the quaint village of Merrimac and ride the Cul-sac Ferry across beautiful Lake Wisconsin. They rent bikes for $20 and a trail pass is $7.

Parfrey's Glen, Wisconsin's first State Natural Area, is a spectacular gorge deeply incised into the sandstone conglomerate of the south flank of the Baraboo Hills. Though within the boundaries of Devil's Lake State Park, it cannot be accessed by vehicle from the rest of the park. It offers a 1.6 round trip hike into the glen.
The Ochsner Park Zoo is located at the corner of Park Street and Zoo Lane in the City of Baraboo. The zoo first opened in 1926 with 2 bear cubs and now has over 30 different animal species and holds regular educational and enrichment programs. It's a small little zoo with a park located adjacent. Great for families with children!
