On the night of 6/12/2019, James had just flown back in to Norfolk from his work adventures in Alabama. Brooke was finishing up some school work. Both got distracted by social media and decided to pop onto a dating site called Tinder. As luck would have it, both were a match and thought the other was cute. Brooke actually messaged James first with a smooth pick up line and by the next morning they had been chatting for hours sharing all they had in common. After a first date on his boat, they truly hit it off! One adventure turned into multiple dates, and multiple dates turned into almost four wonderful years before James got on one knee.

Of course this adventure, involves a boat, too! Brooke, James, Brooke’s mom, Melissa, Auntie Beka, Tori, Tori’s best friend Gracie and Taylor all were all headed for a cruise adventure to celebrate Tori’s high school and Taylor’s professional graduations! Little did Brooke know, James had other plans! With the guise of family photos and many people on the cruise ship in on the plans, James took the opportunity with the gorgeous sea backdrop, to pop the question and the rest is the story of this happy couple that is ready to add more adventures to their beautiful book!
