Jake and I have known each other since we were in high school. We grew up less than 30 miles apart, but it was later in college...500 miles apart, that we connected. We kept in pretty regular contact throughout our college years, but it was not until both of us (three years apart) moved back to Kimball, that we finally decided to give things a shot! Jake was pretty straight forward when he asked me on our first date..and his intentions for our future! He spared no time letting me know I was the farm girl for him!
Jake and I had been looking into adopting a puppy for months! I had finally found the perfect boxer puppy on Facebook and contacted the seller. She told me she would let me know at the end of the week if it was still available, but someone else was interested....it was Jake. Fast forward a few weeks, and Jake decided to have a "causal family barbeque" on a Tuesday night. With both of our families and friends, sitting in the kitchen like normal, Jake strolled in carrying THE puppy. He got down on one knee and handed me the puppy, with a little scarf around her neck that read "Will you marry my daddy?"....best proposal ever!;)
