Falls Park is one of the highlights in downtown Greenville. Enjoy as you walk across the bridge that goes over the giant waterfall. It's simply stunning.
The Swamp Rabbit is a 22-mile walking and bicycling trail along the Reedy River that connects Travelers Rest with the City of Greenville. We love to take Chance on long walks along this tail. Most of the time, it turns into a light jog due to all the other dogs and people a long the trail. Chance always wants to be apart of the action. Also along the trail you will find small restaurants, local buisnesses and beautiful photo ops. We encourage you to take an early morning run on the trail. You won't regret it!
On Saturday mornings from the beginning of May until the end of October, two blocks of downtown Greenville's Main Street are transformed into a farmer's market full of local vendors. There you will find local produce, hand crafted pasta, fresh pastries and some of the upstates finest hand-made crafts. The market is open from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
This restaurant is where we had our first date. We sat at the table right by the fire place, next to the wall and talked for hours. Our waiter had to come tell us that they were closing!
Looking for a good burger and fries? Grill Marks is the place to go! Their gourmet hamburgers are the best in all of Greenville. When you go, make sure you order the "trio" and choose their sweet potato fries as one of your choices. Those are Brooke's favorite! Fun Fact: Grill Marks is where Jake met Brooke's parents for the first time to celebrate her 24th birthday.
Pour is one of our favorite places to go when we are out with friends. It combines our two favorite things, beer and tacos! Pour is a taproom that has over 50 different beers on draft that you can pour yourself. When you arrive you are given a bracelet that keeps track of amount of ounces you drink. Right next door is a Mexican restaurant called Gringos. You can order food from Gringos and they will bring it to your table at Pour. It doesn't get much better than that!
Great summer night atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating which allows you to be apart of all the action Greenville has to offer. There are corn hole boards, plenty of TV's and live music to enjoy.
Up for a fancy drink and a nice view of the city? Then Up on the Roof is the place to be. Take the elevator up to the top floor in the Embassy Suits. Grab a drink, a comfy seat and enjoy the sun set. You will have a view of the entire city, the Reedy River and the mountains. Not to mention a clear view of our wedding venue! Jake and I love to spend summer nights here with friends.
Brooke's favorite ice cream in Greenville. You will find Spill the Beans right next to Falls Park. Grab some ice cream or a warm cup of coffee and take a stroll around the park.
