While Lake Lure is currently unavailable, Rumbling Bald offers multiple restaurants on-site, a wellness center, as well as a slew of activities: - Golf - Swimming (in Bald Mountain Lake) - Paddlesports (in Bald Mountain Lake) - Hiking - Pool / Lazy River / Waterslide - Tennis Courts / Pickleball We hope everyone partakes and enjoys the various activities available on-site! WAS RUMBLING BALD IMPACTED BY HURRICANE HELENE? Rumbling Bald itself sustained no physical damage from Hurricane Helene. However, the storm did cause debris to accumulate in Lake Lure, which has since been drained for cleanup. As a result, Lake Lure is closed to personal lake use for all of 2025. The good news? Bald Mountain Lake, located right on the Rumbling Bald property, remains open and beautiful—so we’ll still get to enjoy time on the water during the wedding weekend! HOW IS CELL RECEPTION AT RUMBLING BALD? In short...spotty at best. The scenic mountains make for amazing views but not-so-amazing cell coverage. That said, you’re not totally off the grid; free, reliable Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, so you’ll still be able to stay connected when needed.
