Myakka River State Park
We've been here to explore the beautiful "Old Florida" wilderness and the swinging bridge is awesome! There are a ton of American Alligators just laying around soaking up the sunshine!!
Lido Key Beach
Sarasota County is home to beaches that include award-winning Siesta Key, renowned for its soft white sands, Venice Beach (23.8 miles south from Sarasota), perfect for finding sharks’ teeth, and Manasota Key (13.4 miles south from Sarasota), where you can escape to find some quiet time. The closest to Sarasota are Siesta Beach, Lido Beach and Crescent Beach.
