Dylan and Brooke’s story starts in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where two people from different parts of the country came to find each other. Dylan grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, while Brooke was raised in New Fairfield, Connecticut. They’re love for health and fitness encouraged their first introduction at a small studio gym in Fort Lauderdale that Dylan used to be a trainer at. From the gym to their first date at the Cheesecake factory and many early mornings at Brooke’s apartment gym near downtown Los Olas sparked an effortless and undeniable connection. Not long after their first few dates they took their first trip together to the Florida Keys. Between the ocean views, sunshine and countless cocktails, Dylan realized just how special Brooke was. It was here, that he first told her he loved her. From the Florida Keys to their first apartment together just outside Fort Lauderdale where they spent 2 years. In April of 2025, Dylan and Brooke decided to leave the city they first met in search of their dream home. After many weekend trips along the east coast exploring new areas and trying new restaurants, it took one trip to Tampa Bay for them to know they needed to be there. Tampa offered a mix of a big city yet charming midwestern suburb option Dylan and Brooke had been looking for. For Brooke’s birthday, they took a weeklong road trip down the coast of California a full-circle moment, as Brooke had lived there for four years before moving to Fort Lauderdale. She loved showing Dylan all her favorite places from that chapter of her life. They ended their trip in Napa Valley, which quickly became their favorite stop. Between incredible wine tours (Dylan’s favorite) and a relaxing spa and wellness day (Brooke’s favorite), it perfectly captured what they love most, traveling together and enjoying life’s simple luxuries. Last November, after months of planning (and a few discreet lunch break phone calls with Brooke’s sister, Nicole), Dylan planned a very special proposal in Boston, Massachusetts. They had flown in before heading to Vermont to spend Thanksgiving with Brooke’s family. Just before their three-year anniversary, Dylan asked Brooke to marry him. The moment became even more meaningful when they later realized that Thanksgiving was the exact day Brooke’s grandparents had gotten engaged. Finally, wedding planning time. They fell in love with Flora Groves Farm, reflective of the perfect setting for an intimate, backyard-style celebration centered around what’s most important them (delicious food, meaningful conversations, and all their favorite people) . And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without Brooke’s favorite matcha truck there to celebrate with them. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the people they love most.
