Portland is a FOOD CITY! You can't go wrong, but here are the best of the best in our neighborhood (NE PDX): Breakfast/Brunch: The Tin Shed - DELICIOUS BRUNCH!!! Hot tip, reserve a table in advance or call morning of Petit Provence - FRENCH BRUNCH!!! A family favorite for us. Chubby Bunny Food Truck - VEGAN BRUNCH!!! the perf greasy brekky sandwiches. Lunch/Dinner: Zilla Sake - Delicious sushi in an intimate space Bye & Bye - Amazing vegan options and cocktails w/ a huge patio Mole Mole - Food truck w/ incredible Mexican dishes Enat Kitchen - Ethiopian delights! Palladin Pie - Food cart with wood fired pizza - try the Druid pie ;) ZAAP thai - Our favorite Thai spot in an unassuming location. Great for takeout!! HILT - Dive bar with amazing greek food.
If you plan to make a weekend out of your trip, here are some of our favorite things to do in the city: - Picnic or stroll at the beautiful Laurelhurst park - See the Timbers or Thornes play at Providence Park (tickets usually range from $20-40) - Get some Dillon Pickle merch at a Portland Pickles game - Shop tons of fun gifts and vintage clothing on Hawthorne Boulevard - Take a tour of our favorite bookstores - Powells, Mother Focault, Melville Books - See a new (or old) movie at Hollywood Theater or Clinton Street Theater - Go waterfall hunting in the Gorge (there are many beautiful, moderate hikes within a two-hour drive of Portland)
