Andrew and Brooke’s story started back in high school, where they quickly became friends. They saw each other often in classes and school events, and over time, that friendship grew into something more. By senior year, the school’s musical, Mamma Mia, was coming up. Brooke had been cast as the lead female role, Sophie, but there weren’t enough guys for the male roles and the show wouldn't be possible if they're weren't filled. Being Andrew's friend and knowing Andrew could sing, she begged him to join the cast. After asking several times, he finally agreed, despite balancing his last soccer season and last semester of high school. What she didn’t know was that he only agreed because it meant he got to spend more time with her. So, like Andrew had anticipated, rehearsals brought them closer, and one night after practice, Andrew asked Brooke out. From that moment on, they were inseparable. When it came time for college, Andrew was headed to Baylor in Waco, TX, and Brooke to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. The two were devastated to leave each other for seemingly the next four years. But just a few months later, Andrew realized Baylor wasn’t the right fit, and by January, he had transferred to Arkansas. Andrew and Brooke have spent the last four years in Fayetteville creating lifelong friendships and navigating life together. Finally, on July 21, 2024, Andrew proposed on the beach with both of their families there to celebrate. What began as a high school friendship has grown into a lifelong love story of high school and college sweethearts, and now they’re counting down the days until they say “I do.”
