The first time I saw Brooke, she was leading worship at the church my family had just started attending. I immediately saw her and wanted to do the same thing. Little did I know, a few months later, I would be on that same stage timidly strumming a guitar as she sang at the Christmas Eve service. It took 3 years of going to the same church, going to youth group, and playing on the worship team together until I realized that this girl was the one who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I am thankful that the Lord gave us those years to build a relationship as good friends with the same love for the same God. I knew that Brooke was the one I would marry from the day we started dating, it was only a matter of time until the Lord would give me the OK to move forward. A few years of growing in faith and learning about each other in a slightly deeper level filled the gap until I felt the Lord speak to me. After two weeks of saying to the Lord "I just want to make sure I heard you right..." and getting the same answer, I went to our parents and again got more approval and encouragement. After a worship set in a friends home, I got on one knee and she said what I was hoping for. I am so glad to have you be a part of the next part of this story with us. See you in July! -Adam
I'll never forget the day that I first met Adam. We had been going to the same church for a while, but the first time that I truly met him was on a bus trip to Hershey with our youth group. When I saw him, my heart skipped a beat and instantly I was head over heels. Throughout high school, my "crush" on Adam grew and grew. However, as I began to see his heart for the Lord and His people, I found myself falling deeper and deeper in love with him. Our families had already developed a close relationship with one another, but as time went on, Adam and I began to develop a friendship of our own. After we started dating, I realized that he was everything that I could have ever wanted in a future husband--kind, compassionate, patient, funny, adventurous, (very) handsome, and most importantly, a lover of Jesus. Since then, my love for Adam has only grown! I truly cannot wait to marry him! After all, how many people can say that they are married to their high school crush??!!
